This is a breath taking 2.00 carat aquamarine from the Santa Maria de Itabira mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This color is extremely rare color especially in a wearable size such as this. This gem quality Santa Maria Aquamarine is much rarer that the finest quality emerald, and this is the one in 100,000 perfect balance of size color and flawless clarity.
Most dark aqua are much larger since the volume of gemstone contributes to the color saturation, like a cup of water as compared to the ocean; a cup of water is clear while the ocean is dark blue green.
This gemstone measures 10.13 mm in length by 6.51 mm in width by 4.49 mm in depth and was cut by a Master Gem Cutter to maximize the color and brilliance.
